On April 12, 1861 - The Battle of Fort Sumter.
Well ladies and gentlemen, it looks as though a change has come to both the north and the south today. In Carolina, fire was opened at Fort Sumter. This is the first real battle since the South's succession in January. With this first battle being so close to home, it brings a heightened sense of danger to all of us. This battled was forged because Gen. Beauregarde was told to order the mandatory evacuation of Fort Sumter. The Union Major Anderson replied to this order by saying if the supplies were not given by noon or received other instructions by April 15, he would evacuate the Fort as he faced no other options. This was unacceptable for Beauregarde. At 4:30AM on the morning of April 12, 43 Confederate guns rang out as they shot at Fort Sumter. As of right now we are unsure of where this will lead us in the future. Perhaps a full out war will take place or this will be the beginning and the end of the violence? This could be a long hull for the Union and the Confederacy, I hope we are all ready and willing.
Show your support for our government as we face a new era in our history.

Hopefully this will be settled quickly with the least amount of bloodshed possible and the United States can be made whole once more.
